GOLDEN VALLEY is a tall variety of dahlia (Dahlia Cav.) belonging to the cactus-type inflorescence group. The plant reaches a height of about 115 cm and a width of 80 cm, forming large cactus-type buds with a bright yellow-orange color. The leaves are dark green, and the stems are sturdy and about 35 cm long, ensuring resistance to wind and mechanical damage.
Cultivating this variety requires careful care: tubers are planted after spring frosts with small shoots, burying the root collar by 3–5 cm. Immediately after planting, a support is installed to form the correct shape of the plant at the early stages of development. Watering is combined with fertilization, which promotes the formation of a large number of inflorescences of rich color and increases resistance to diseases.
The variety is characterized by an early flowering period – flowering begins as early as June and continues until the first frosts. The average number of inflorescences on the plant is 70–80, with a diameter of 10–12 cm; they are located on the surface of the bush and do not fade even under prolonged sunlight exposure.
