Description
Zentaur Poly fodder beet is a high-yielding semi-sugar hybrid of white color, developed in Poland and intended for feeding various farm animals. This variety is characterized by high nutritional value and improves the digestibility of dry feeds for livestock, thereby enhancing the quality and quantity of milk in cows, as well as improving meat and egg production in pigs and poultry. The roots have an oval or conical elongated shape, with approximately 60% of the root depth buried in the soil, facilitating mechanized harvest.
Zentaur Poly has a medium-late maturity period — from 140 to 160 days, and high yield: 900 to 1200 centners of roots per hectare and 120-165 centners of dry matter. The dry matter content in the roots is 12-17%, and sugar content — up to 15%, making this variety especially valuable for animal feeding. The beet retains its nutritional properties throughout the winter period and can be stored until late spring without losing its nutritional value.
In addition to its high productivity, Zentaur Poly exhibits drought resistance and resistance to common diseases such as leaf cercosporosis and beet rot. This makes it a reliable choice for cultivation on various soils, including less fertile areas. Due to its juicy and low-calorie roots, this variety contributes to improved animal health and productivity, making it an essential component of farm animal rations.
