The core of the "Iris" fungicide from "Badvasі" is tebuconazole, formulated to ensure high-efficiency systemic action. Unlike contact products, this compound quickly penetrates plant tissues and moves via the xylem, which is critical for protecting high-biomass crops such as winter rapeseed and winter wheat.

Mechanism of action and pharmacokinetics

Tebuconazole acts as an inhibitor of ergosterol biosynthesis, a vital component of fungal cell membranes. Interrupting the demethylation process disrupts cell wall integrity, leading to pathogen death. For the agronomist, this means stopping the development of threats such as brown, stem, and yellow rust, septoria, and Fusarium head blight in cereals, as well as phoma and cylindrosporiosis in rapeseed.

Benefits of the formulation

The emulsifiable concentrate formulation was selected for a reason. It ensures excellent adhesion and rainfastness just hours after application. The systemic nature of the product allows "Iris" to protect even parts of the plant not directly hit by the spray solution (including new growth after treatment).

Application guidelines

• Application rate: 0.5–1.0 L/ha, depending on the phytosanitary status of the crop and the disease progression stage.
• Number of applications: up to 2 applications per season are permitted, enabling a flexible protection strategy (e.g., early infection control and flag leaf protection).
• Hazard class: 3, requiring standard safety protocols for handling agrochemicals.
