How Tebufor keeps crops clean and healthy

When you hit the fields in the spring, the biggest risk is missing the window when fungus starts cutting into your yield. Using the Tebufor fungicide from Himagromarketing, I’ve found it to be incredibly predictable. This is a systemic product based on tebuconazole; it doesn't just sit on the leaf surface, but absorbs into the plant tissue, providing long-lasting internal protection.

Application and Field Experience

In practice, the rate of 0.5–1.0 l/ha gives me the flexibility to adapt to field conditions. If the infection pressure is low, we use the lower dose, but if we see early signs of rust or septoria, we bump it up. Since it’s an emulsifiable concentrate, it mixes easily in the spray tank without clogging nozzles. It’s a versatile tool that works just as well on cereals like wheat, barley, rye, and oats as it does on industrial crops like fodder beet and oilseed rape.

• Timing: The last application must be done 30 days before harvest to comply with safety regulations.
• Cycles: Up to two applications per season, which is usually enough to cover the most critical growth stages.
• Safety: Rated as hazard class 3, which is standard for these types of chemicals, so it doesn't require any exotic PPE—just follow standard safety protocols.

Its effectiveness against a broad spectrum of diseases, including Fusarium head blight and Phomopsis, makes Tebufor a reliable workhorse in any agronomist’s arsenal. It performs well both as a preventive measure and as a curative one if a disease has already started to show. Over years of use, I haven't run into any phytotoxicity issues; the key is simply respecting the application limits and waiting periods.
