Systemic action and efficacy

The main advantage of this product is the combination of the systemic metalaxyl with the contact-based mancozeb. Unlike simple contact fungicides, this formula penetrates deep into plant tissues. It provides protection even for new growth that emerges after spraying. This is particularly valuable in viticulture, where the rapid spread of downy mildew often outpaces the efficiency of standard protective products.

Practical application and handling

The product comes as water-dispersible granules. They are dust-free and dissolve perfectly in the sprayer tank, which saves me from the headache of clogged nozzles mid-shift.

• Application rate: 2–2.5 kg per hectare is sufficient to cover the vegetative mass completely.
• Treatment limit: Up to 3 treatments per season allow for flexible integration into your existing plant protection program.
• Safety: The product is classified as hazard class 3, so standard protective equipment and safety protocols are a must.

I recommend keeping the intervals between treatments at 10-14 days during high-pressure periods. With this approach, Cerexil consistently keeps fungal threats at bay, ensuring the plants stay healthy until harvest.
