Protecting Cereal Crops with Zaryad EC: A Field Perspective

When managing fungal pressure in winter wheat and barley, selecting a reliable systemic fungicide is crucial. The fungicide «Zaryad EC», produced by Shanghai Mio Chemical Co., Ltd. and Clov (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., offers a robust combination of triazoles—propiconazole and cyproconazole—that provides both systemic and contact action against a variety of crop diseases.

Control Against Key Pathogens

Field experience shows that this formulation is particularly effective for managing high-impact fungal infections that threaten final yields. Specifically, it is designed to target:

• Helminthosporiosis and net blotch in barley.
• Septoria, which can quickly degrade the leaf surface area.
• Rhynchosporiosis and powdery mildew.

The systemic properties allow the active ingredients to penetrate plant tissues, which is essential for stopping the spread of infection after initial symptoms appear. The combination of two triazoles ensures a reliable and consistent control profile.

Application and Operational Guidelines

For optimal coverage and efficacy, we recommend a dosage rate of 0.5–0.6 L/ha. As an emulsifiable concentrate, the product is easy to mix into spray tanks, provided standard safety precautions are followed, as it falls under the 3rd hazard class. To manage resistance effectively, the product should be used no more than twice per season.

An important operational note: wait at least 30 days before harvest following the final application. By adhering to this interval, farmers can ensure their harvest meets safety standards while achieving excellent protection for the flag leaf, allowing the crops to reach full maturity without being compromised by fungal pathogens.
