Triple-action systemic crop protection from Bayer to combat a wide range of fungal diseases.
Description
Three-Component Synergy
The core strength of "Falcon 460 EC" lies in its precise chemical architecture. Bayer has engineered a formula containing three active substances: spiroxamine (400 g/L), tebuconazole (167 g/L), and triadimenol (43 g/L). This combination effectively targets multiple metabolic pathways within fungal pathogens, preventing resistance buildup.
Technical Mechanism of Action
- Spiroxamine (morpholines): Acts as a fast-acting agent, disrupting fungal cell membranes and facilitating the rapid absorption of the systemic components. It also enhances rain-fastness, ensuring the product remains on the foliage under variable weather conditions.
- Tebuconazole and Triadimenol (triazoles): These agents inhibit ergosterol biosynthesis. By blocking this essential process, the fungicide stops mycelial growth and spore production, providing deep systemic protection throughout the plant tissue.
As an emulsifiable concentrate, the product forms a durable protective layer on the leaf surface. This is critical for controlling powdery mildew, rusts, leaf spots, and oidium in crops such as winter wheat, barley, forage beets, and grapes.
Practical Application
The recommended application rate is 0.3–0.6 L/ha, with a maximum of two applications per season allowed. A 30-day pre-harvest interval must be strictly observed. "Falcon 460 EC" acts as a robust barrier, combining contact and systemic efficacy to ensure crop health and yield stability in challenging environments.
