Systemic Protection Mechanism

Gizmo 60 CS is a systemic fungicide containing 60 g/L of tebuconazole, a triazole derivative. The core of its efficacy lies in the inhibition of ergosterol biosynthesis within fungal cell membranes. By disrupting the structural integrity of the pathogen at a cellular level, the chemical effectively halts mycelial growth and pathogen development. As a systemic agent, it is absorbed into the seed embryo and translocated into the emerging seedling, providing protection during the most critical early growth stages.

Agricultural Application and Efficacy

Designed for seed treatment, this product offers a comprehensive shield against a wide spectrum of seed-borne and soil-borne diseases in winter and spring wheat and barley. Its primary strengths include:

• Root Rot Management: Highly effective against Fusarium and Helminthosporium root rots, preventing early-season thinning of crops.
• Smut Control: Neutralizes loose and covered smut, ensuring that the infection does not manifest during the crop's reproductive phase.
• Seedling Defense: Effectively combats seed mold and net blotch, which can be detrimental when adverse weather conditions delay germination.

Operational Advantages

Formulated as an emulsion, Gizmo 60 CS offers excellent adherence, ensuring a uniform distribution over the seed surface.
