Dual-action protection against root rot and smut using the synergy of systemic carboxin and contact thiram.
Description
The Synergy of Thiram and Carboxin: Technical Foundation
The efficiency of the "Klass, TN" seed treatment agent is based on the combination of two active components: carboxin (oxathiin) and thiram (dithiocarbamate). This dual-action approach allows for comprehensive protection: carboxin functions as a systemic fungicide, penetrating the embryo to suppress fungal metabolism, while thiram acts as a contact barrier, shielding the seed surface against soil-borne pathogens.
Protection Inside and Out
- Systemic Control: Carboxin targets metabolic processes in fungi, providing effective defense against fusarium and helminthosporium root rots. It is vital for ensuring the survival of winter crops throughout the dormant season.
- Contact Barrier: Thiram eliminates pathogens present on the seed coat, preventing grain decay and various types of smut (bunt) from the moment the seed is sown.
The emulsifiable concentrate formulation ensures excellent adhesion to the grain, minimizing product loss during mechanical sowing processes. With an application rate of 2.0–3.0 L/ha, "Klass" creates an optimal active ingredient concentration that guarantees germination even under challenging soil and moisture conditions.
Agronomic Practicality
This formulation is highly recommended for fields with high infection pressure for wheat and barley, as well as for corn crops prone to fusarium. Classified as a category 3 hazard, the product requires standard handling safety. Its single-pass application provides prolonged, reliable protection during the critical early growth stages, removing the need for repeat treatments and ensuring uniform crop emergence.
