Mechanism of Action: Systemic Protection

The fungicide "Petritis" from the manufacturer "Rangoli" utilizes flutriafol (250 g/l) as its active ingredient. Belonging to the triazole group, this compound provides a robust systemic effect. Unlike purely contact-based treatments, flutriafol is rapidly absorbed by the plant and moves through the xylem. This critical technical feature ensures that systemic protection reaches even those parts of the plant that may have been missed during the initial spraying.

Formulation and Efficiency

Packaged as a suspension concentrate, Petritis offers excellent stability within the spray tank, preventing rapid sedimentation. This formulation improves the adherence of the active ingredient to the leaf surface, ensuring superior coverage. The product demonstrates both contact and systemic actions, allowing it to immediately neutralize pathogens on the plant surface while providing prolonged internal suppression of fungal mycelia.

Field Application

Petritis is highly effective against a variety of fungal threats:

• Winter Wheat: Controls septoria, powdery mildew, fusarium head blight, and rhynchosporium.
• Fodder Beets: Manages cercospora and phoma leaf spot.

The application rate ranges from 0.5 to 1.0 L/ha, providing flexibility based on the level of infestation. A maximum of two treatments per season is permitted. Due to its classification as a Category 2 hazard, strict adherence to safety protocols and the use of personal protective equipment are mandatory during application.
