A systemic propiconazole-based fungicide for advanced protection of cereal and technical crops.
Description
Systemic Pathogen Control: How Propi 250 Functions
The efficiency of "Propi 250" is rooted in its 250 g/L propiconazole content. As a triazole-class systemic fungicide, it inhibits ergosterol biosynthesis within fungal cells. In practical agricultural conditions, this results in the rapid cessation of mycelial growth and the prevention of sporulation, neutralizing the threat effectively after application.
Technical Specifications of the Formulation
The emulsifiable concentrate formulation provides high lipophilicity, which is essential for rapid penetration through the leaf cuticle. Once inside, propiconazole moves acropetally (upward) through the xylem. This systemic mobility is critical for protecting new plant growth that develops post-application. Unlike contact fungicides, Propi 250 exhibits high rainfastness, remaining effective even if precipitation occurs a few hours after spraying.
Application and Spectrum of Action
The fungicide is engineered for robust crops including winter wheat, winter barley, oilseed rape, and fodder beets. It is highly effective against major pathogens such as powdery mildew, septoria, helminthosporium, rhynchosporium, phoma, and cercospora.
- Application Rate: 0.5–1.0 L/ha, adjusted according to infection severity and growth stage.
- Usage Strategy: Up to two applications per season are permitted to maintain a protective barrier.
- Residual Management: A pre-harvest interval of 20–30 days is observed to ensure minimal residues at harvest.
Production standards are upheld across manufacturing sites in Hungary (Peters & Burg Kft.) and China (Yangzhou National Chemical and Zhejiang Jinfanda Biochemical), ensuring consistent chemical composition and adherence to strict regulatory protocols.
