The fungicide "Stark" by Hangzhou Ruijiang Chemical is a tool for precise pathogen control, based on the strobilurin class. Its core active ingredient, azoxystrobin, disrupts mitochondrial respiration in fungal cells by blocking electron transport in the cytochrome chain. This leads to the rapid depletion of the pathogen's energy reserves, causing its death. A key advantage of the formulation is its dual mode of action, combining systemic and contact properties. This ensures both the eradication of existing fungal colonies and the establishment of a protective barrier on the plant's vegetative surface.

Technological arsenal and application

The product is provided as a suspension concentrate, which guarantees high homogeneity of the spray solution and optimal adhesion to the leaf's epicuticular wax. At the recommended dosage of 0.5–1 L/ha, "Stark" effectively mitigates the development of a wide range of diseases:

• Cereals: Fusarium head blight, brown rust, Septoria.
• Vegetables (tomatoes, cucumbers): downy mildew, powdery mildew, Alternaria.
• Industrial crops: Phoma and Phomopsis in sunflowers.

Practical application aspects

The systemic nature of the product allows it to redistribute within the plant tissues, providing protection even to areas that were not directly hit during spraying. With a Toxicity Class 3 rating and a pre-harvest interval of 20–30 days, the fungicide fits well into intensive protection programs requiring 2–3 applications per season. Furthermore, azoxystrobin exhibits a distinct physiological effect: it delays leaf senescence, extending the period of the crop's photosynthetic activity, which translates directly into increased yields.
