A dual strike against fungal infections through the combination of contact and systemic protection mechanisms.
Description
Synergy of components: how Torrinto 500 EC works
The efficiency of fungicide protection for cereals and sunflowers directly depends on the preparation's ability to penetrate plant tissues and block pathogens at various developmental stages. Torrinto 500 EC from Fader Alliance Ltd. is based on a combination of two active substances: prochloraz and tebuconazole. This combination makes the preparation a versatile tool that merges both contact and systemic modes of action.
Technical breakdown of the composition
- Prochloraz (imidazole group): Provides contact and partially systemic action. Its primary task is local surface disinfection and the suppression of mycelium that has already penetrated the tissue. It shows a pronounced curative effect against a wide range of spot diseases.
- Tebuconazole (triazole group): A systemic component with excellent penetrative properties. It moves rapidly through the plant's xylem, providing protection to untreated parts (new growth) and maintaining a long-lasting effect for 3–4 weeks.
This combination effectively combats resistance: the imidazoles in the formula destroy fungal cell membranes, while tebuconazole inhibits ergosterol synthesis, leading to the inevitable death of the fungal colony. The emulsifiable concentrate (EC) formulation promotes better adhesion and faster penetration into the waxy layer of leaves and stems.
Field Application
Torrinto 500 EC demonstrates high stability when protecting wheat and barley against powdery mildew, septoria, and helminthosporium. When used on sunflowers, the product effectively suppresses diseases affecting the head and leaf apparatus.
Regulations:
- Application rate: 0.5–1.0 L/ha depending on infestation severity and crop growth stage.
- Maximum applications: 2 per season.
- Pre-harvest interval: 30 days, making it suitable for intensive crop production technologies.
The production of the preparation at Fader Alliance Ltd. facilities (UK), using high-quality European components (manufactured in the Netherlands and Poland), guarantees the reliability of the active substance in the tank mix and prevents phytotoxicity when application regulations are followed.
