Gladiolus Leila — a perennial bulbous plant, distinguished by bright salmon-colored flowers with a diameter of 10 to 15 cm. The plant height reaches 140–160 cm, and each stem forms 15 to 25 flowers arranged in panicle inflorescences. The leaves are green, long, and narrow, resembling swords, which is reflected in the name of the genus gladiolus. Flowering occurs in August and continues until early September, making Gladiolus Leila an excellent decoration for the garden at the end of summer.

This plant prefers sunny locations with well-drained soil, which promotes its lush and prolonged blooming. Despite its hardiness, Gladiolus Leila is not winter-hardy, so bulbous tubers are recommended to be dug up and stored during the winter period. Often, the plant is supplied with fertilizers and a bulb planter, which simplifies the planting and care process.

Gladioli are widely used in floristry due to their ability to retain freshness when cut and their elegant appearance. The flowers of Gladiolus Leila beautifully complement bright and pastel shades, allowing for the creation of various decorative compositions. To prolong the life of the bouquet, it is recommended to cut the flowers when the first bud has formed, after which the inflorescence will open in the vase and continue to delight with its beauty for no less than three weeks.
