A powerful systemic insecticide that provides reliable protection for oilseed rape against major pests.
Description
Protecting oilseed rape: our experience with Flyp
When dealing with blossom beetles and flea beetles in oilseed rape, timing is everything. We incorporated the Flyp insecticide from Alfa Smart Agro into our crop protection strategy last season. The main advantage we observed is the combination of contact and systemic action, which provides consistent results even in dense crop stands where coverage can be challenging.
Application practice and performance
The product comes as a suspension concentrate. In our practice, it mixes exceptionally well in the tank and does not clog the nozzles, which is essential during long working days in the field. We applied it at a rate of 0.7 L/ha, which was sufficient to clear the fields from pests effectively. We adhered strictly to the limit of 2 applications per season, which proved enough for the crop's critical growth stages.
- Systemic power: the active ingredient (thiacloprid) translocates within the plant tissue to protect new growth.
- Instant knockout: it provides a rapid contact effect that stops pest feeding immediately.
- Versatility: it shows excellent tank-mix compatibility with most fungicides and foliar fertilizers we use.
Safety is a priority, and since Flyp is a Class 2 hazard chemical, we treat it with the necessary caution, ensuring all PPE is used correctly and that bee protection regulations are followed. For farmers looking for a reliable solution, keeping to the recommended rate of 0.5 to 1.0 L/ha ensures predictable protection and helps keep the rape crop healthy and profitable.
