This combination transforms the product into a versatile tool for integrated pest management. Dimethoate, an organophosphate, provides systemic activity by being absorbed into the plant's vascular tissues. This is crucial for eliminating hidden pests like cereal flies that inhabit plant stems. Beta-cypermethrin, a pyrethroid, provides the “knockdown effect,” causing immediate paralysis of pests upon contact.

• Dimethoate: Inhibits the enzyme acetylcholinesterase, disrupting insect nervous system transmission. Its systemic nature allows it to move through the plant, protecting new growth that emerges after the initial spraying.
