Ipomoea "Cherry Scarlet" – an annual vine of the Convolvulaceae family, reaching a height of up to 3–3.2 m and stem lengths of up to 3 m. Strong, flexible stems of light green color with dark emerald foliage easily cling to any surface, making the plant ideal for vertical greening of balconies, gazebos, fences, and other structures.

The flowers are funnel-shaped, large (up to 10 cm in diameter), and colored in a dark cherry shade with a white center. The flowering period lasts from late June to early October, characterized by abundance and continuity, attracting bees and other insects. The plant prefers sunny places or partial shade but does not tolerate frost; therefore, it is planted in open ground in the second half of May at temperatures above 10 °C.

Care for "Cherry Scarlet" is simple: moderate watering and loose, moistened soil. Fertilization is recommended 2–3 times per season with reduced nitrogen content. The plant is resistant to drought, heat, and most diseases (anthracnose, leaf bacterial blight, powdery mildew), although fungal infection may occur with soil over-wetting. For optimal growth, the distance between plants should be 30–40 cm.
