Description
MORSYANSKY 760 is a species of brome-grass derived from mass selection from a wild specimen from the Don River floodplain. It is characterized by high yield and resistance to adverse climatic conditions: winter-hardy, drought-resistant, and capable of withstanding prolonged flooding for up to 40 days.
Plants of this variety have an upright bush of medium density, ranging from 125 to 165 cm in height. The stem is of medium coarseness without hairiness, the leaf is linear-lanceolate and dark green, also without hairiness. The inflorescences represent a drooping panicle, and the seeds are lanceolate brown.
Yield of dry matter is 8–9 t/ha, seed yield is from 300 to 500 kg/ha, while hay can yield over 120 c/ha. Crude protein content is in the range of 9–10 %. Brome-grass MORSYANSKY 760 grows well on various soil types and exhibits weak susceptibility to helminthosporiosis and rust, making it a reliable choice for a wide range of agricultural tasks.
