Peruvian Princess

The 'Peruvian Princess' lily is a perennial plant with dark red, velvety flowers about 10-11 cm in diameter. The funnel-shaped flowers have wavy-edged petals, a yellow throat surrounded by a black halo, giving them a striking and attractive appearance. The buds are purple, and flowering begins at the end of June and lasts about 30-35 days, providing a long decorative period from May to September. The flower stems are candlestick-like, branched, up to 100 cm tall, significantly taller than the foliage, and bear 15 to 20 flowers, making the bloom abundant and impressive. The flower scent is weak and fresh.

The plant prefers sunny or slightly shaded locations for planting. It requires moderate watering; excessive moisture can be harmful. It overwinters without protection, making it easy to care for in moderate climates. The plant reaches approximately 65 cm in height, allowing it to be used in various decorative compositions and flowerbeds.

'Peruvian Princess' belongs to the Hemerocallidaceae family and is a selection from Moldovan 1979. Thanks to its compact form, abundant flowering, and frost resistance, this lily will be a beautiful addition to the garden, attracting attention with its rich coloration and long flowering period.
