BILTSTAR

BILTSTAR is a medium-maturing, high-yielding variety of oil flax intended for oil production. The vegetation period is approximately 88-90 days, allowing effective use under various climatic conditions. The plant reaches a height of about 50 cm, with lower branches attached at a height of 23-25 cm. Flowers have a characteristic coloration: petals in the bud stage are blue-violet, light blue at full development, and the pistil at the base is white. The pod is large with fringed false septum, seeds are light brown with a mass of 1000 seeds of about 7.5-7.8 g. The variety is distinguished by high resistance to lodging and shattering, ensuring crop preservation and facilitating harvesting. Moreover, BILTSTAR demonstrates resistance to major flax diseases, including fusarium, anthracnose, polysporosis, bacteriosis, ascochitos, and rust. These qualities make it a reliable choice for cultivation in regions with various agro-climatic conditions. Oil content in seeds reaches 40-45%, which is an important indicator for oil crops. The yield potential of the BILTSTAR variety can reach up to 36 c/ha, while the average yield in the region is about 13.6 c/ha. The sowing rate is 5-6 million seeds per hectare. Due to the combination of high productivity, resistance to adverse factors, and quality seed characteristics, this variety is effective and promising for industrial oil flax cultivation for oil production.
