Lucerne variety Chapka is a late-maturing hexaploid variety with high productivity potential and adaptability to various agroclimatic conditions. This variety is characterized by high yields of green mass and biomass, reaching an average dry matter yield of about 137 ц/ha and a maximum of 187 ц/ha. Due to its high cold tolerance and drought resistance, Chapka allows for sowing during the late summer-autumn period and extends the crop's usage period, which is especially important for regions with variable climates.

The stems of Chapka lucerne are slender and strong, ensuring high resistance to lodging and reducing leaf mass losses. The protein content in the plant reaches 20.53%, and fiber content — 24.9%, guaranteeing high-quality forage. Leafiness is about 50%, and the number of cuttings per season varies from 3 to 4, allowing efficient utilization of the plant's potential for animal feeding.

Chapka variety is resistant to diseases and stress conditions during cultivation, ensuring stable high yields. It is one of the key legume crops in the forage conveyor system and is widely used in field sown forages.
