The Powerplant: FPT Precision

At the core of the New Holland TD5 is the FPT 3.4-liter, four-cylinder engine equipped with a turbocharger and Common Rail fuel injection. FPT (Fiat Powertrain Technologies) focused on maximizing torque at low RPMs, which is essential for loader work and heavy-duty transport. The cooling system is specifically designed to handle long hours in the field under extreme thermal conditions, ensuring consistent performance without downtime.

Transmission Engineering

The Synchro Shuttle transmission provides seamless gear shifting, ensuring the operator maintains control in various field scenarios. For operations requiring frequent direction changes, the optional Power Shuttle hydraulic reverser allows for seamless reversing without the need to engage the clutch. The availability of 12x12 or 20x20 configurations, including creeper gears, ensures the tractor is perfectly suited for both heavy soil preparation and precision seeding tasks.

Hydraulics and Durability

With a hydraulic pump capacity of up to 65 l/min, the TD5 delivers rapid cycle times for implements. The rear linkage lift capacity, reaching 3,565 kg, is capable of handling heavy-duty attachments with ease. Furthermore, the hydraulic system features a robust filtration setup to ensure longevity even in high-dust environments. Inside the VisionView cab, the emphasis is on 360-degree visibility, significantly reducing operator fatigue during long shifts and increasing precision when attaching heavy implements.
