Description
DALEKOVOSTOCHNYY KORMOVYY is a new spring hulled oat variety created by individual selection from the hybrid combination (Goril Kuro x Noire de Michamps) x (Omihi x Selma). This variety is characterized by medium maturity, resistance to shattering and lodging, and an upright bush type. The plant is of medium height with a two-sided medium-length panicle and horizontal branch arrangement. The ears are drooping, and the glume is short with a strong waxy bloom, which aids in grain protection. The tendency for awniness in the first grain layer is absent or very weak, which improves harvest quality.
Compared to traditional oat varieties such as Marshal and Premier, DALEKOVOSTOCHNYY KORMOVYY outperforms them in several key metrics. The plant is 20 cm taller than Marshal and 25 cm taller than Premier, which contributes to increased green mass yield. Average yield over research years exceeds the standard by 4.9 t/ha and Premier by 9.1 t/ha. The weight of 1,000 grains reaches up to 47.2 g, which is 6.2 g more than Marshal and 7.9 g more than Premier. Grain bulk density is 440-490 g/l, indicating high grain quality.
The variety also stands out for its elevated protein and lysine content in the grain, enhancing its nutritional value. Protein content is 2.7% higher than Marshal and 3.1% higher than Premier, while lysine content exceeds these varieties by 67 and 72 mg/% respectively. Hulledness of the grain is low — up to 18.2%, which facilitates processing. The nutritional value of green mass is 1.29 feed units, making this variety particularly valuable for animal feeding. Due to its characteristics, DALEKOVOSTOCHNYY KORMOVYY is recommended for use in breeding work and implementation in production in the East Siberian region.

Overall bulb harvest per unit area. Depends on both onion variety characteristics and agronomic practices, fertilizers, and irrigation. Under optimal growing conditions, an onion yield of 100 tons per hectare and above is not considered record-breaking. |
