Description
The hybrid is characterized by high yield, reaching 4-5 kg per square meter with proper care, which corresponds to 300-400 centners per hectare. Centurion F1 onion has a sharp taste and high disease resistance, and it is not prone to bolting. A small basal plate and narrow neck reduce waste during slicing and prevent the penetration of spoilage bacteria, thereby increasing storage life and shelf stability.
For successful cultivation, choose sunny areas with neutral, fertile soil; however, the hybrid adapts well to various soil types. The optimal planting density is 10 cm between plants and 20 cm between rows. Spring planting depth should be 3-5 cm, while winter planting should be 6-10 cm. The dense and tough outer scale ensures resistance to mechanical damage, which is especially important during transportation and storage.
