Parade

Parade onion is a high-yielding early variety of Dutch selection by the company Bejo Zaden, intended for growing as green onions. This hybrid has a short growing period of about 70 days, allowing fresh greens to be harvested early in spring in open ground, as well as late autumn and winter in greenhouses. Parade onion is resistant to temperature fluctuations and can steadily develop both under partial shade and under high solar activity, making it versatile for various climatic conditions.

The green onion of Parade is characterized by straight, large, succulent leaves of dark green color, reaching a height of 50-60 cm. The white part of the green onion is 5-6 cm. The leaves do not yellow or fall off, ensuring prolonged preservation of the marketable appearance and nutritional value of the harvest under proper storage conditions. The onion has a pleasant, slightly spicy flavor, making it popular in culinary applications for soups, fresh salads, seasonings, and freezing.

A distinctive feature of this variety is its high resistance to downy mildew, significantly reducing the risk of diseases and crop losses. The onion regrows quickly after cutting, enabling multiple harvests per season. In mild winters, the variety can successfully overwinter, expanding its cultivation possibilities. Thanks to these qualities, Parade is popular among both novice gardeners and experienced farmers.
