Plants are characterized by dark green leaves covered with a waxy coating, which contributes to their disease resistance. Dry scales are strong and tightly adhered to the bulb, providing reliable protection during storage, while inner scales are thick, juicy, crisp, and have a sharp flavor. The 'Forum' variety is distinguished by high yield, reaching 45-70 tons per hectare, and is intended for universal use: fresh consumption, drying, and processing. The onion stores well for 6-8 months due to its strong dry scales and dense bulb structure. It is resistant to bolting, which improves product quality and market appearance. The recommended planting density is approximately 800,000 plants per hectare, with seed sowing rates of 4-5 kg per hectare. For successful cultivation of the 'Forum' variety, optimal agrotechnical conditions must be maintained. Sowing is conducted with row spacing of 30-45 cm and intra-row spacing of 2.5-4.0 cm or 8.0-12.0 cm, depending on the desired product type. Onion is a moisture-loving crop with a shallow root system, requiring regular watering, especially during germination and bulb formation, maintaining air humidity levels at 75-80% and 70% respectively. The highest water demand occurs during the intensive growth phase of the bulb until the beginning of leaf fall.
