Korsar

Winter red onion variety 'Corsar' is a high-yielding short-day variety intended for autumn sowing. It is characterized by its ability to form an early harvest one month earlier than the earliest onion varieties, allowing for early bunch production and formed bulbs by late May to mid-June. Bulbs are medium-sized, flat-round in shape, weighing from 120 to 160 grams, with dry purple and dark-purple outer scales, and inner succulent scales that are white with a purple epidermal tint. The taste is sweet with a mild spiciness, making it attractive for fresh consumption.

Variety 'Corsar' exhibits high resistance to bolting and tolerates low temperatures, ensuring reliable cultivation under various climatic conditions. It has good secondary growth after winter, which contributes to increased yield and quality of marketable bulbs.
