Description
One of the key features of Royo Duro is a dense wrapper of dry scales, which reliably protects the bulbs from sunburn and allows for mechanized harvesting. High content of dry matter, reaching 7.8-8%, ensures the hardness of the bulbs and promotes long-term storage — more than 6 months, which allows preserving the quality of the product until spring. Thanks to these characteristics, the onion is suitable for both fresh consumption and processing and long-term storage.
The hybrid has excellent taste qualities, varying from semi-sharp to sweet, which expands the possibilities of its application in cooking. Royo Duro forms a powerful root system and is resistant to fusarium and pink root rot, which increases its resistance to diseases and reduces risks during cultivation. It is recommended for sowing at the end of winter — early spring, especially in conditions of a long daylight period, which ensures optimal development and high productivity of the crop.
