The Sereja onion is an early-maturing hybrid variety that combines the best qualities of leek and bulb onion. This powerful upright plant reaches a height of up to 1.5 meters and is characterized by thick and long false stems, also called blanched stalks. The leaves of this variety are tubular, upright, about 54 cm long and 1.5 cm in diameter, with a bluish-green tint and a pronounced waxy coating. They are tender, very juicy, and have a semi-sharp-sweet taste, making this onion especially attractive to lovers of greens and salads.

The variety is distinguished by its universal purpose and can be grown both as seedlings and directly in the ground. Sowing for seedlings is recommended in March, and in the ground - in May, with subsequent harvest in July-August. With dense planting, the onion retains leek properties, does not form bulbs, and gives large leaves and a false stem. With more sparse planting, a medium-sized white bulb forms with a sweet and juicy taste, which expands its possibilities for use in cooking.

Onion Sereja differs from excellent agronomic characteristics and is able to compete with bulb varieties during the summer period.
