Description
The bulbs have a dense, firm bronze-colored outer scale with a greenish tint, tightly adhering to the flesh and forming several layers. The inner scales are white, succulent, and meaty. The taste of Sherman F1 onion is semi-sharp with moderate sweetness and practically no bitterness, making it versatile for culinary use. It is suitable for salads, first and second courses, marinades, and preservation.
The hybrid exhibits high resistance to fusarium, pink rot, and bolting, ensuring stable yield and storage. Under proper cultivation conditions and drip irrigation, yields can reach 40-50 tons per hectare, while under standard care, approximately 30 tons. The onion adapts well to various soil types and climatic conditions, capable of growing even without irrigation or fertilization. Recommended planting density is 10 cm between plants and 20 cm between rows, with spring planting depth of 3-5 cm and winter planting depth of 6-10 cm. Due to its qualities and characteristics, Sherman F1 is an excellent choice for commercial cultivation and long-term storage up to 3-4 months without loss of marketability.
