Description
Stylyaga onion is recommended for cultivation via seedlings or direct sowing into open ground at the end of April to early May at a depth of 1.0-1.5 cm. When grown via seedlings, the bulb mass reaches 150-350 g. Harvest begins when the plant reaches a height of 20-30 cm. The variety is suitable for one-year cultivation both for bulbs and greens, and is also excellent for obtaining green mass during the autumn-winter period. For forcing greens, the planting rate is 50 kg per m², and green yield is possible as early as 20-25 days after planting the bulbs.
Stylyaga onion is suitable for mechanized harvesting and industrial cultivation in any type of soil. Bulbs store for up to 2 months; for longer storage, treatment with growth inhibitors is recommended. This variety is widely used for preparing buffet appetizers, salads, and freezing, making it universal and in demand both in home gardening and industrial production.
