Valentino

Valentino F1 onion is a high-yielding, medium-maturing hybrid of bulb onion of Spanish type, developed by the breeding company Hazera. The vegetation period is approximately 110-115 days from emergence to harvest. The hybrid is intended for cultivation in open ground and is adapted to various agroclimatic conditions, making it suitable for regions of Ukraine. Plants have well-developed root systems, providing drought and soil moisture deficiency resistance without reducing yield.

Valentino F1 bulbs are round, dense, with thin necks, and have golden-bronze or golden-yellow color. Average bulb weight varies from 180 to 300 grams, and size may range from 70 to 100 mm depending on seeding rate. Upper onion scales have high quality — they are whole and firm, while inner scales are thick, crisp, and snow-white. The flavor is pleasant, mild, moderately spicy, and slightly sweet, making it ideal for culinary use, freezing, and drying as seasoning.

The hybrid exhibits high resistance to diseases such as fusarium and root rot, and is tolerant to stress conditions including heat and drought. The harvested crop is easily transportable and can be stored for up to 5 months, ensuring ease of marketing and use. Valentino F1 onion is suitable for mechanized harvesting, including using combine harvesters, which increases the efficiency of agronomic processes.
