VOLOGDSKY BEAN

The field pea variety 'Volgodsksky Usaty' is a mid-season forage crop intended for cultivation in the North-West region of Russia. Plants of this variety are characterized by a non-shattering type and lack of leaflets, which ensures high resistance to shattering and lodging. Plant height ranges from 82 to 140 cm, and the mass of 1000 seeds is from 136 to 171 grams, indicating good seed productivity.

The variety is distinguished by high yield: the average yield of dry matter reaches 56.5 centners per hectare, and grain is about 20.5 centners per hectare, while in some cases seed yield can reach 26-34 centners per hectare, and green mass - 230-378 centners per hectare. High protein content makes this variety particularly valuable for feeding animals - protein in dry matter reaches 21%, and in grain - up to 25%. Furthermore, peas are rich in amino acids, which increases their nutritional value in livestock rations.

'Volgodsksky Usaty' is recommended for cultivation in northern climatic conditions due to its adaptability and resistance to adverse factors. The average maturity period allows for its use in various agro-technical systems. This variety is a promising crop for increasing the efficiency of fodder production in regions with a cool climate, ensuring stable yields and high quality of feed.
