The Candidate peach is a medium-sized tree with large pinkish flowers and abundant bud formation. The fruits of this variety are distinguished by their attractive appearance: they are large, weighing from 140 to 200 grams, round in shape, with yellow skin and a blurred red blush covering about 40% of the surface. The fruit fuzz is weak and velvety. The flesh is yellow, juicy, with a fibrous texture, and the medium-sized pit easily separates from the flesh. The taste is sweet and sour, rich, confirmed by a high tasting score of 4.6 points.

Fruit ripening in Crimea occurs at the end of July, approximately a week before the Redhaven variety. The biochemical composition of the fruits shows good indicators: dry matter content is 13.4%, total sugar is 8.6%, total acidity is 0.46%, vitamin C reaches 12.6 mg%, and there are also pectins, anthocyanins, leukoanthocyanins, catechins, and carotene present, making the fruits not only tasty but also beneficial.

The Candidate variety is recommended for industrial and amateur horticulture in regions with suitable climatic conditions, including the Kherson, Odessa, Mykolaiv, and Zaporizhzhia regions and Crimea. Due to its qualities and resilience, this peach will be an excellent choice for cultivation in both commercial orchards and private estates.
