DEMerdzHINSKY

The Demerdzhinsky peach is a self-fertile fruit tree of medium growth vigor with a spreading, fluffy crown of medium density. The tree is usually of medium size and rarely reaches great height. The variety is distinguished by high frost resistance and good drought tolerance, as well as medium heat tolerance and low susceptibility to diseases, making it suitable for cultivation in various climatic conditions, especially in southern regions.

The fruits of the Demerdzhinsky peach have an oval shape and medium size, with the weight of one fruit ranging from 90 to 140 grams, usually around 110 grams. The skin is yellow in hue with a blurred reddish-purple or dark raspberry blush and weak fuzz. The flesh is orange-yellow, medium density, juicy, and with a harmonious sweet taste. The pit is medium size, partially separates from the flesh, which facilitates consumption and processing of the fruits. The fruit stalk is short, which is also characteristic of this variety.

The ripening period of the fruits falls in mid or late July, allowing their use in fresh form during the summer period. Due to high frost resistance and good transportability, the fruits of the Demerdzhinsky peach are suitable for cultivation in chernozem soils and warm climatic zones. The variety was bred by Ukrainian breeders and is well adapted to regional conditions, making it attractive to gardeners who value the combination of taste qualities and unpretentiousness.
