Description
This autumn variety was obtained at the All-Russian Scientific Research Institute of Genetics and Selection of Fruit Plants named after I. V. Michurin by P. N. Yakovlev and S. P. Yakovlev through crossing variety Koperechka No. 10 with Zimnaya Dekankaya. It did not gain widespread commercial cultivation due to small fruits, but is found in amateur gardens in the middle zone. It has been recommended for the Central Chernozem region.
The tree is small, with a pyramidal, somewhat sparse, slightly spreading crown.
Shoots of medium thickness, weakly curved, jointed, yellowish. Leaves are oblong-oval, light green, blade slightly folded, curved, apex acuminate, base broadly wedge-shaped, leaf margin serrated, stipules lanceolate.
Fruits are small, medium-sized, round, russet-colored. Main color at harvest is greenish-yellow. During storage, the main color intensifies and a slight blush appears on the lower part of the fruit. Peduncle of medium length, weakly curved, calyx very small, sepals large, erect, prominently protruding.
Flesh is white, medium density, semi-oily, juicy, tart-sweet, refreshing flavor. Fruits contain 14.2% sugars, 0.78% titratable acids, 9.0 mg/100g ascorbic acid, 48 mg/100g P-active substances.
Harvesting ripeness occurs in the second half of August, consumption period lasts until November. At 0-1°C, fruits can be stored for up to six months but are prone to wilting. One of the best varieties for processing into juices, compotes, jams. High, annual yield. Resistant to scab.
Advantages of the variety: small trees, resistance to scab, fruits with good storage potential, versatile use.
Disadvantages of the variety: low fruit marketability due to unattractive appearance.
