Description
This autumn variety was obtained at the All-Russian Scientific Research Institute of Genetics and Selection of Fruit Crops named after I. V. Michurin by crossing the 'Daughter of Blanckova' variety with 'Bere Ardanpon'. The breeder of the variety is S. F. Chernenko. It is recommended for the Central region. It is not widely grown and mostly found in amateur gardens in the Central-Chernozem and Central regions.
The tree is vigorous with a pyramidal crown. The bark on the trunk and main branches is smooth, slightly brown, buds are large, pressed, triangular.
Shoots of medium thickness, slightly curved, with minimal crookedness, reddish-brown, hairless, shiny, with many small bumps. Buds are small, fruit buds are conical, chestnut-colored. Leaves are large, elongated, dark green, long-pointed, with a wedge-shaped base. The leaf blade is curved, slightly wrinkled, the leaf margin finely toothed, slightly serrated, irregular. The petiole is of medium length and thickness, hairless. Stipules are large, elongated, lanceolate.
Fruits are large, elongated pear-shaped, of medium uniformity, bumpy. Skin is of medium thickness, with a weak waxy coating. Color at harvest time: primary greenish, covering color - sometimes slight blush. During consumer maturity: primary greenish-yellow, covering color - weak reddish-brown blush on part of the fruit. Peduncle is long, thick, curved. Calyx is small, open, small, saucer is small and wide, subcalyx tube is small, sack-like. Heart is small, spindle-shaped, located close to the calyx. Chambers are small, closed. Seeds are elongated, dark brown.
Flesh is white, slightly matte, very juicy, medium density, semi-oily, tart-sweet taste, with a slight aroma. The fruit contains 9.8% sugars, 0.28% titratable acids, 5.7 mg/100g ascorbic acid, 74 mg/100g P-active substances, 75 mg/100g chlorogenic acid.
The variety is autumnal, harvest ripens at the end of August and fruits can be stored for up to 1.5 months. Pollinators are varieties of medium bloom time, but the best is 'Lyubimitsa Yakovleva'.
Trees begin fruiting at 7-8 years after planting in the garden, yield increases slowly, during full fruiting up to 200 centners per hectare. Winter hardiness is average.
Fruits and leaves are not affected by scab.
Advantages of the variety: high-quality fruits, resistance to fungal diseases.
Disadvantages of the variety: tall trees, late fruiting start, possible unevenness of fruits.
