Description
Variety selected by SKNIGiPS, obtained by pollinating Bere Bosk with a pollen mixture (Josephine Mechelska + Pass-Crassan + Bere Ardanpon). Breeders: P. P. Kostyk, A. I. Tereshchenkova, L. V. Khachetlova. Grown in Kabardino-Balkaria and Stavropol Krai.
The tree has a pyramidal, medium-density crown with compactly arranged skeletal branches. The predominant type of fruit formations are simple and complex rings and spear-shaped fruits.
Shoots are straight, round in cross-section, brown. Leaves are elongated, dark green, smooth. Leaf margin is coarsely toothed, wavy. Petioles of medium length with small, elongated stipules.
Fruits of medium size, pear-shaped. Skin is rough, dull, golden-yellow, with a delicate rust coloration. Peduncle is long, slightly curved. Calyx is acute-conical. Half-open calyx is located in a shallow but fairly wide, furrowed dish. Seed chambers are closed.
Flesh is white with a cream tint, tender, oily, slightly sour-sweet, dessert-like flavor. Chemical composition of the fruit: dry matter — 15.9%, sugars — 12.9%, titratable acids — 0.20%, pectin substances — 1.43%, ascorbic acid — 4.9 mg/100g.
Fruits ripen at the end of August and can be stored at 0+2°C for over a month.
Young trees on strong rootstocks begin fruiting in the sixth year. Yield is 310 centners per hectare, fruiting annually. The variety is cold-hardy and drought-resistant. Not affected by fungal diseases.
Advantages of the variety: high fruit quality, resistance to fungal diseases, good yield.
Disadvantages of the variety: fruit size reduction under heavy fruit load.
