Description
The fruits of Amber Mlyevska are large, weighing 45–70 grams, oval-egg-shaped, with a thin but strong lemon-yellow skin exhibiting a chameleon-like sheen ranging from lemon-gold to delicate lilac. The flesh is soft, yellow, juicy, slightly fibrous, richly aromatic, and harmoniously sweet, acquiring grape-like notes upon overripening. The stone separates easily from the flesh. Fruits ripen at the end of July to early August and do not drop off, allowing for optimal harvest timing for long-term refrigerated storage.
Amber Mlyevska plum is versatile in application: it is excellent for fresh consumption and serves as an outstanding raw material for making jams and preserves. The variety is self-sterile, so for pollination, it is recommended to plant other plum varieties that bloom in mid-season.
