Description
This variety was obtained at the M.A. Lisavенко Institute of Fruit Growing in the mountainous Altai region (Chamal village) by M.N. Matyunin through open pollination of selected form 20-6-12 (a seedling of Amur Early). It was introduced into the State Register in 2004 for the West Siberian region.
The tree is medium-sized with a pyramidal crown in youth, becoming spreading later. The main type of fruiting branches are 6-node branches. Bark of branches is dark gray, peeling. Shoots are yellowish-brown, bare, with numerous light lenticels. Leaves are medium-sized, oval and inversely egg-shaped, with a wedge-shaped base and a sharp tapering apex, ending in an acute, bent tip. Leaf blade is light green, bare, slightly curved like a boat, with serrated-margined edges. Petiole is medium length, dark red. Flowers are cup-shaped, white.
Fruits weigh up to 16.4 g, round. The ventral suture is of medium depth, well expressed. The calyx is medium. Main color is yellow, with a dark burgundy covering, covered with a dense bluish waxy coating over the entire fruit. Flesh is whitish-yellow, medium juicy, tart-sweet, slightly bitter near the skin, good taste. Pit is medium-sized, easily separates from the flesh. Peduncle is medium length, easily detaches from branches. Fruits contain dry soluble substances up to 15.7%, sugars up to 10.26%, acids up to 1.32%, ascorbic acid up to 11.2 mg/100g, P-active compounds up to 430.0 mg/100g. Variety is of universal use.
Winter hardiness of the tree is high, fruit buds are satisfactory. Not resistant to rot, moniliosis, and drought. Yield is moderate. Self-sterile.
Advantages of the variety: fruits are very attractive, good taste.
Disadvantages: not resistant to moniliosis, drought, and rot.
