Description
The potato variety Evpatiy is a medium-early table variety with oval-round tubers, whose skin is red and flesh is light-yellow. The average weight of marketable tubers ranges from 101 to 166 grams, and starch content is about 15.2%. Plants of this variety are medium height, stem-type, upright, with large green leaves and flower umbels, whose intensity of anthocyanin coloration on the inner side is absent or very weak. The tubers are rated as having good taste, making the variety attractive for table use. The Evpatiy variety is characterized by high market yield, ranging from 157 to 305 centners per hectare, with maximum yields reaching 521 centners per hectare, exceeding standards of some other varieties. Marketable tuber percentage reaches 82%, and storability — 93%, indicating good product preservation during storage. Due to these characteristics, the variety is suitable both for direct consumption and processing. A special advantage of the Evpatiy variety is its resistance to a number of diseases and pests.
