Tuber Morphology and Physiology

The genetic profile of "Riviera" is focused on creating an attractive commercial appearance with minimal time investment. Oval tubers with smooth yellow skin possess high uniformity, minimizing losses during automated sorting. The light yellow flesh contains 18–19% dry matter, ensuring excellent culinary qualities and shape retention during heat treatment.

Resistance as an engineering foundation

Crop stability is ensured by selective protection against a complex of pathogens critical for potato production:

• Phytosanitary barrier: High resistance to potato wart and late blight allows for a reduction in fungicidal field pressure.
• Nematode immunity: The variety demonstrates resistance to the golden potato cyst nematode, making it suitable for fields with an accumulated infection background.
• Viral resistance: Protection against major potato viruses prevents the degeneration of planting material under field conditions.
