The potato variety 'Flight' is an early-maturing table variety with a vegetation period of 50 to 65 days. The tubers of this variety have red skin and white flesh, with an average weight of marketable tubers ranging from 100 to 160 grams. The number of tubers per plant varies from 9 to 15, ensuring high yield, reaching 32-62 tons per hectare. The taste of the potato is rated as average, and its culinary type AB makes it suitable for making soups, salads, and frying. The storage capacity of the variety is good, reaching approximately 95%, allowing for long-term storage of the harvest.

The 'Flight' variety is characterized by high tuber marketability, ranging from 85 to 92%, making it attractive for market sales. It exhibits moderate resistance to alternaria, but in certain years, it may be severely affected by late blight on both foliage and tubers. The variety is also prone to color mutations of tubers, which should be taken into account during cultivation. For successful cultivation, standard agronomic practices are recommended, with preferred cultivation regions being the Northern and East Siberian regions of Russia.

The 'Flight' potato was developed at the Federal State Budgetary Scientific Institution 'Irkutsk Research Institute of Agriculture' and included in the State Register of Selection Achievements. The main advantages of the variety are its early maturity, high yield, and marketability, as well as good storage capacity. Despite some issues with late blight, the variety remains a reliable choice for farmers focused on early harvest and quality table potatoes.
