The HERMOSA potato variety is a medium-early table type variety included in the State Register for the Central Chernozem region. The plant is tall, intermediate type with semi-upright growth habit. Leaves are large, closed, light green in color, and the flower bud varies from medium to large size with no or very weak anthocyanin coloring on the inner side of the flower bud.
The HERMOSA variety tubers are oval-shaped with small eyes, covered with yellow skin, and the flesh has a light yellow hue. The marketable tuber mass ranges from 98 to 143 grams, with starch content reaching 14.1%. The flavor is rated as excellent, marketability is 88%, and storability is 95%, ensuring good storage of the harvest.
The variety is characterized by high yield, ranging from 198 to 331 centners per hectare, which corresponds to the Nevsky standard and exceeds the Innovator standard by 94 centners per hectare. Maximum yield may reach 341 centners per hectare, which is 74 centners higher than the Krasavchik standard in Kursk Oblast. HERMOSA is resistant to potato cancer pathogen and golden potato cyst nematode, making it a reliable choice for cultivation both in home gardens and on farms across various climatic zones.
