Natalia

Natalia potato is an ultra-early table variety developed by the German breeding company Solana. This variety is characterized by a short vegetation period — from 40 to 50 days — enabling early harvest with high marketability. The potato plants are upright, medium height, with dark green leaves and white flowers with a slight reddish-purple tint. Tubers have an oval shape, smooth yellow skin with barely noticeable surface eyes, and an average weight of 100-130 grams. The flesh is light yellow, uniform in texture, with low dry matter and starch content (11.2–13.6%), corresponding to culinary type A/B — dense tubers that do not break down or slightly break down.

The Natalia variety exhibits stable high yield — 12–15 tubers per plant, and with proper agronomy, yields of 132–191 centners per hectare. Even in dry years, yield remains at a good level. The potato is resistant to mechanical damage, ensuring its preservation during transport. Storage capacity is about 93%, allowing tubers to be stored for up to 6 months without loss of quality.

Natalia potato is ideal for making salads, frying, soups, and mashed potatoes due to its dense flesh and pleasant taste. The variety demonstrates high resistance to common potato diseases, such as late blight, rust, black scab, and sprouting. These characteristics make Natalia a reliable and in-demand choice for cultivation in both private gardens and commercial production.
