The Red Fantasy potato is a medium-late table variety of German selection with a vegetation period of 90-110 days. The tubers have an elongated-oval shape and bright red skin, with flesh that is intensely yellow, dense, and slightly resistant to breaking during boiling. The average weight of one tuber ranges from 92 to 140 grams, and each plant yields 10-12 tubers. This variety is distinguished by excellent taste qualities with a slight sweetness, high protein, amino acid, carotene, and starch content (13.5-21.5%), making it suitable for dietary nutrition and feeding children. The culinary type CD allows versatile use: for soups, boiling, frying, mashing, and baking. Red Fantasy is characterized by high yield — under proper agronomic practices, one hectare can yield 256 to 393 centners of marketable product with a marketability of 90-96%. The variety tolerates drought and water deficiency, making it drought-resistant. Additionally, the potato exhibits high resistance to several diseases, including potato cancer, golden cyst-forming nematode, common scab, blackleg, leaf curling viruses, and tobacco mosaic virus. Moderately resistant to late blight of foliage and tubers, the variety also demonstrates excellent storability — up to 95% — and high transportability, allowing long-term storage and transportation over long distances without quality loss. In addition to agronomic advantages, Red Fantasy potato is beneficial for health due to its high content of trace elements such as copper, iron, manganese, and potassium, as well as vitamins B6 and C. These components support brain function, improve memory, and overall bodily activity. Baked, peeled potato with a small amount of salt can become a tasty and nutritious dish, supporting dietary nutrition.
