Description
Teteriv — a late-maturing potato variety developed in Ukrainian selection, registered in the Ukrainian Plant Varieties Register in 2002. The vegetation period lasts about 120 days, allowing for harvest at the end of the season. Tubers have a round shape, smooth and neat, with red skin and white flesh. The weight of a single tuber ranges from 70 to 130 grams, and the number of tubers per plant reaches 6–11. Starch content is within 15–18%, making this variety suitable for various culinary uses, including mashing, baking, and salads. Flavor qualities are highly rated, confirming its popularity among consumers. The Teteriv variety exhibits high resistance to major potato diseases, such as late blight of foliage and tubers, viral infections, scab, and nematodes. It tolerates high humidity and sudden weather changes, making it a reliable choice for cultivation in steppe and forest-steppe zones of Ukraine. Additionally, this potato variety has excellent storability — up to 97% — and high resistance to mechanical damage, ensuring good preservation of the harvest during transport and storage. Teteriv is characterized by good mashability of medium-density flesh, allowing its use in a variety of dishes. Due to its adaptability to soil types and climatic conditions, this variety suits a wide range of agronomic conditions. High yield, reaching up to 52 tons per hectare, combined with excellent taste and technological qualities, makes Teteriv an attractive choice for both farmers and home gardeners.
