JUBILEE ZHUKOVA

Potato variety 'Jubilee Zhukova' belongs to mid-early table varieties of Russian selection, intended for cultivation in open ground. The plant is of medium height with semi-erect growth form, medium-sized green leaves with slight wavy edges. Tubers are oval-shaped with small eyes, yellow smooth or medium-coarse skin, white flesh that does not darken upon cutting or boiling. The mass of marketable tubers varies from 64 to 139 grams, with 7-12 tubers per plant. Starch content ranges from 10.1% to 13.5%, corresponding to culinary type AB, making the potato suitable for making salads, soups, frying, and baking.

The variety is characterized by high yield: average market yield is 206-238 centners per hectare, with maximum reaching 424 centners per hectare. Tubers' marketability is high — 87-98%, and storability reaches 98%, ensuring good storage and resistance to mechanical damage. 'Jubilee Zhukova' is resistant to such diseases as potato blight, common scab, and alternaria, however, it is susceptible to phytophthora on foliage and moderately susceptible to golden potato cyst nematode.

For cultivation, planting in May at a depth of 8-10 cm with a spacing of 60 x 35 cm is recommended. The variety is low-maintenance and well-adapted to open ground conditions. Due to its characteristics and resistance to several diseases, 'Jubilee Zhukova' is a valuable variety for obtaining high yields of quality potatoes with excellent taste.
