FELICITA

Two-rowed narrow-leafed plant, also known as perennial arugula or rocket salad, is a compact salad plant of the brassica family. The vegetation period lasts from 20 to 28 days, during which the plant reaches a height of 15–22 cm. Leaves are large, green, lyrate and pinnately lobed with serrated edges, giving the salad a characteristic nutty-mustard aroma.

This undemanding plant is easy to grow both in open ground and in a greenhouse. It germinates quickly after sowing – seedlings appear as early as 5–6 days, and growth accelerates at +16…18 °C with good lighting. Two-rowed narrow-leafed plant is frost-resistant and can be planted in spring, summer, or even in autumn, making it ideal for perennial cultivation.

The yield collected from one square meter reaches 1–1.5 kg of greens with proper care. Young leaves are used in fresh salads, pizza, pasta, and as a side dish for meat and fish dishes; flowers are added as spices, and seeds are used for the production of mustard and oil. Due to its high content of vitamins (A, B-group, C, E), micro- and macroelements, two-rowed narrow-leafed plant is considered a valuable addition to the diet, promoting metabolism and enriching food with beneficial compounds.
