Gurman

Two-rowed narrow-leafed 'Gurman' is an early-maturing annual variety, ready for use quickly: greens appear within 20-25 days after germination. The plant features a compact rosette height of 18 to 20 cm and leaves of medium size with a lyre shape, strongly incised edges, and a smooth surface. The taste and aroma resemble a combination of nut and mustard, making it an excellent addition to salads, sandwiches, as well as fish and meat dishes.

'Gurman' is distinguished by its ease of cultivation: the plant is undemanding, suitable for both open ground and under film coverings. It can be grown in pots on a windowsill, making it a convenient choice for urban gardens. Sowing seeds is carried out from April to August directly into the soil at a depth of 1 cm; under favorable conditions, the plant reaches a height of 20 to 25 cm and weighs about 15-25 g.

The variety is characterized by high yield and a prolonged harvesting period: leaves can be harvested from May to July and used in cooking to prepare useful oil. 'Gurman' leaves possess healing properties, so they are often used both fresh and in the preparation of dishes. Suitable soil is fertile and neutral; under bright sunlight, the plant reveals all its taste qualities.
